Chanticleer has reached the second edition of the Chicken Cock Holiday Edition, packaged in collectible hardcover. This Kentucky straight bourbon starts with a mash bill made up of 70% corn, 21% rye, and 9% barley malt.
After an initial aging in new and carbonized American oak barrels, the distillate is decanted into French cognac barrels. Gregg Snyder, Chicken Cock master distiller, personally selected the ex-bourbon and cognac barrels used for the aging of this version. It is bottled at an ABV of 56% (112 proof).
