2023 opens with two new releases for the Heaven Hill distillery, which concern the Larceny and Elijah Craig brands. As for the first, the Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon was presented, a bourbon obtained from a mash bill made up of 68% corn, 20% wheat, 12% barley malt. The barrels used for aging have been aged for 6 to 8 years. As reported on the label, the distillate is bottled at full capacity.
Heaven Hill plans to release three lots this year, so pay attention to the lot number and related ABV. Lot A123 is bottled at 125.8 proof (62.9%). The lot has limited quantities and is shipping now, with a suggested retail price of $59.99.
As for Elijah Craig, Barrel Proof Batch A123 has been released, the first of the batch expected for 2023. This product uses a mash bill of 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye. This bourbon is aged for 12 years and is bottled unfiltered, full-proof at 125.6 proof (62.8% ABV).
Distribution throughout the United States is expected from this month. The MSRP is $69.99.
