Diageo’s Orphan Barrel Whisky Distilling Company has announced the second single grain Scotch whisky release, the Muckety-Muck 25 Year. The Scotch whisky was sourced from Port Dundas Distillery, which closed its doors in 2010. Port Dundas was not only a distillery, but it was also home to hundreds of pigs. The name of this whisky is actually a tribute to the pigs, but to one of the most prized pigs, the Muckety-Muck. Orphan has created six different label variations for this release. The labels will have him in Scottish Tartans, and varying color schemes.
The Muckety-Muck 25 is a limited edition expression. The release is bottled at 91 proof (45.5% ABV). The 750-ml size bottle has an MSRP of $249.99 per bottle. Will be available in limited quantities at select spirits retailers nationwide.
