Amrut 4yo Unpeated is a special bottling released for La Maison du Whisky in 2026. It is a four-year-old unpeated single malt bottled at full cask strength of 60%. The whisky was distilled in 2022 from six-row Indian barley grown and malted in Rajasthan.
Alcohol dominates with a challenging impact. Ripe banana, sugar and good-quality vanilla emerge in the background.
Slightly better controlled, retaining tropical fruit and a spicy component fuelled by alcoholic heat.
Long but once again dominated by alcohol, with returning banana, vanilla and spice.
Amrut 4yo Unpeated contains some pleasant aromatic elements, but the choice of 60% ABV clearly undermines drinkability, integration and balance, especially on the nose.
