The Amrut 8 yo 2016 Triple Distilled Bourbon Barrel Directions is a single cask release from the distillery located in Kumbalgodu, on the outskirts of Bangalore, founded in 1948 It wasn't until 2004 that its first single malt was launched on the British and European markets. To meet growing demand, a second production unit, equipped with seven 20,000-liter fermentation tanks and four pot stills, was inaugurated in 2018.
Rich, full-bodied. The first, intense impressions are of pineapple and other tropical fruity hints, with highest quality vanilla, sided by herbaceous (cut hay) notes. After some time in the glass aromas of sugar cane and malted barley coexists.
Full-bodied, characterized by the intense fruity character (pineapple, passion fruit, banana, plum), the taste palette is supported by particularly smooth flavors of gentian root, fresh ginger and barley grain. Enlivened by a few citrus zests (lemon, grapefruit), it becomes, over time, more malty, herbaceous and infused (chamomile).
Very long and still fruity, with some herbaceous and infused background.
