TASTING NOTES BALVENIE 2002 PEAT WEEK

Nose

a very particular Balvenie. The peat is here, but it's very subtle. Notes of honey, brown sugar, cinnamom, pepper and saffron. Incense, soot and boiled eggs in the background.

Palate

it takes a long time to fully shine. There's a light peat note. Again we have honey and spices: black pepper and cardamom, a subtle minerality, milk chocolate. Oily and persistent.

Finish

long, medium strenght. Again notes of honey and pepper, chocolate and red fruits.

A distintictive Balvenie with a shy but perceptible peatiness. Very good.
