The Chivas Regal 12 years old is one of the most common and known Scotch whisky. It is a blended whisky and the origin of the company dates back to 1801. The 12 years old was made in the early 20th century by Chivas Brothers.
To the nose, it releases scents of sweet fruits, accompanied by a touch of wood and spices (wood spices).
Spicy, with the wood spices being among the protagonists, together with candied fruits, malt and a touch of cinnamon.
Medium persistence. Wood spices, enriched by notes of malt and nuances of honey.
Overall, the Chivas Regal 12 yeards old, is a balanced Scotch whisky, equipped and with a decent intensity. That said, its flavor profile is not much wide, and it lacks in structure. All but a meditation whisky, it’s often used in cocktails.
