TASTING NOTES - HEAVEN'S DOOR STRAIGHT RYE WHISKEY VISGES CASK FINISH

Nose

Very pleasant and mellow, sophisticated vanilla bean and a collection of sweet spices. Very little herbal rye components. The second nose if rich in butterscotch and aged cigarbox wood.

Palate

Here some of the typical rye kick starts showing off, still in a pleasant way; the spicy part is increased, as well as the tastiness of the oak. Some sweet and bready components are more evident. Creaminess, maybe due to the French oak finish, is paramount.

Finish

Medium duration, gentle yet rich in flavors.

Heaven's Door Straight Rye Whiskey Vosges Cask Finish is a very nice, surprising product, sweet and rich in aromas, with a great vanilla and a very pleasant array of spices.
