TASTING NOTES - INFREQUENT FLYERS FETTERCAIRN 14YO

Nose

Intensely sherried, with tons of raisins, plums jam, even some rhubarb essence and petrichor. Winter spices which are used in some of hot wines from the North. At times it goes even into earthy notes. It is rather wintery and maybe better with some drops of water.

Palate

The level of sweetness is important, yet similar components to the nose ones are boasting off, with dark red fruit (plums at their best) and even ginger biscuits covered in chocolate. Dates.

Finish

Long and wintery, almost a sweet dessert sensation, with hints of ginger and black forest cake

Infrequent Flyers Fettercairn 14yo 2007 (cask 1823) is a very intense release, perfect for the winter time in front of a fireplace, boasting off very strong oloroso aromas, where plums and dates are the absolute protagonists, with hot wine spices. Maybe few drops of water would help managing the intensity.
