Neptune Gold Rum is a blend of rum from the Foursquare distillery, in Barbados. The blended rums are a 3 years old, a 5 years old and a 8 years old, aged in American white oak barrels that have previously contained bourbon.
There are scents of butter biscuits, vanilla and hints of fruit, followed by sugar and caramel notes.
Cotton candy, caramel, and a touch of wood, together with white pepper, sugared almonds and salted butter.
Medium. Salted butter, nutmeg and white pepper.
Overall, the Neptune Gold rum delivers a rather contained flavor profile. That said, it is delicate and easy to appreciate.
