Oban 14 yo is a very known and appreciated product worldwide. Known for its decisive and round character, it represented the small Highland distillery by itself. Recently, a No Age Statement, the Little Bay, was added.
reveals suave notes of wood and spices, black pepper in particular. Afterward follow flavors of apple, apricot and light hints of cocoa. There is also a hint of yeast perceptible. It is rather "timid".
a spicy first impact, including black pepper. Notes of vanilla, apple and red fruits, including strawberries, take over almost immediately. Malt and oak flavors complete the aromatic bouquet.
medium persistency. Somewhat dry. It reveals red fruits and nuts, hazelnut in particular.
A very "up-front" whisky, it is equipped with a well delineated aromatic palette, while not particularly ample or compex. Very suitable as an entry-level whisky.
