Today we talk about a limited edition, produced in 2017, from the famous Campbeltown distillery. This spirit in our glass has aged for 14 years, from November 2002 to August 2017, in ex-Bourbon barrels of first and second filling. It is still available online.
significant intensity but not excessive. Now spicy notes of black pepper mixed with hints of barnyard, typical of many Springbanks, sweetened with vanilla and milk chocolate. It continues on smoky notes, that range from bacon to grilled meat.
the character of the distillery is felt immediately. Intensity is also quite high, notes of black pepper and milk chocolate, then yellow fruits, especially apple but also apricot. The gradation is high.
