The third edition of Solum was produced similarly to the previous edition, but it was aged for a year longer. The peat used in this edition was sustainably harvested from a location about two hours south of Seattle, ensuring the health of the bog for future harvests. The distillation process utilized 100% peated malted barley from Skagit Valley Malting.
The spirit was then aged in a combination of new and used casks, including refill casks from Westland Distillery. It is bottled at 50% ABV (100 proof), with only 5,700 bottles available globally, and has a suggested retail price of $149.99 for a 700ml bottle.
