TASTING NOTES - GLENMORANGIE A TALE OF SPICES

Nose

The Glenmorangie typical "high" orange profile is now covered in a deep, complex variety of spices (oriental with cumin and cardamom, sweet, at moments tangier and more savoury). The freshness is however preserved, with an orange flower blossom hint. There is also a good quality vanilla finish in this fragrant nose.

Palate

This aspect is more fruity, clean, refined, with the Navel orange becoming more oriental, though the sweet spices are here more oaky, with the same amount of sweetness perceived at the nose. Some ripe peaches are also rather simple to perceive. Nice.

Finish

Medium duration, rather classy and refined, such as some high level, carpet covered and sweet perfumed Middle-East living rooms.

Glenmorangie a Tale of Spices is a very interesting release, once again very well crafted and capable of evoking sensations which are told upfront by the name of the release itself. The complexity of the spices is outstanding and the core is very respectful of the quality of the distillery.
