TYPE: Blended
A limited-edition blended malt drawn from select Campbeltown whiskies, celebrating the region’s dark, coastal intensity. It is matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and sherry casks.
It opens with aromas of coastal smoke, black treacle, damp oak, and pepper. The palate is oily and gently smoky, bringing brown sugar, sea-salt toffee, cracked pepper, and toasted malt. The finish is lingering and shadowy, with charcoal sweetness, maritime spice, and dried fruit. A dramatic, atmospheric whisky steeped in Campbeltown character.
93Among the whiskies tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
