The latest Celebration sour mash combines four barrels of Kentucky straight rye and three barrels of Kentucky straight bourbon, aged between 12 and over 30 years.
Crafted by master of maturation Andrea Wilson and master distiller Dan McKee, this whiskey is presented in a commemorative gift box that includes a signed letter from McKee.
Michter’s has released only five editions of Celebration sour mash in nearly 30 years, with the most recent in January 2023 and none since 2019. The ABV is 57.6%, the suggested retail price is $6,000, and only 315 bottles are available.
