TASTING NOTES ARDBEG ARDBOG

Nosedistinctive characteristics of the distillery: peat, diesel oil and a suave note of sulfur. It is balanced, despite the typical Ardbeg peatness. After a few minutes, sugary notes (cane sugar), honey and nuances of medicine. Over time, the sweet aromas become more perceptible.

Palate: the intensity fades after a while, leaving room for notes of brown sugar and wildflower honey. Peat is present, followed by light citrus aromas and a slight spice of white pepper. The spirit shows its youth, due to a rather limited complexity.

Finish: medium persistence. Peat, black pepper and smoky notes.

The Ardbeg Ardbog presents some flaws attributable perhaps to the lack of maturation: the intensity and harmony are in fact not particularly pronounced. However, it is a discreet whisky, on average among the annual outputs proposed by Ardbeg.
