Bardstown Bourbon has released two new bottlings: one is the seventh version of the Discovery Series and the other is the Fusion Series.
The Discovery Series is meant to showcase the art of blending, with particular care given to aged whiskies sourced from different origins, and for this time these includes also international whiskies: there are not only bourbons and rye but also a Canadian whiskey sourced from Ontario. “The Canadian Whisky blends beautifully with the bourbon and rye, adding a subtle sweetness and rounded finish,” says Dan Callaway, VP, hospitality and product development. “With our Discovery Series, we continue to push boundaries through innovation, passionately pursuing new flavor.”
The Discovery Series #7 comes bottled with an ABV of 57.25 (114.5 proof). The suggested retail price is $139.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
The Fusion Series blends older sourced whiskies with more-recently distilled stock produced by the company at its Bardstown, KY distillery. Fusion series releases show a range of mash bills across the selected aged products and include corn, rye, wheat, and malted barley. Fusion #7 is made for 70% from a 3 year-old bourbon made by Bardstown Bourbon Co., and 30% from a 12 year-old sourced whiskey. The Fusion #7 is 98.1 proof, with a suggested retail price of $64.99 per 750-ml. bottle.
