Big Peat has unveiled a special bottling in limited edition for this 2021 summer. The “Peatrichor” is a tribute to the rainfalls on Islay, which happens very often. The meaning is the aroma that you can perceive right after the rain touches the soil, reminding some mineral flavors.
As you could expect, it is a heavily peated whisky that will be commercialized cask strength (53.8% – 107.6 proof). Being a limited edition, production will be limited to 5.190 bottles, which will be available in late May. The bottlings will be available worldwide.
The price retail price is around £45. Many websites already offer it for preorders.
