Bushmills 29 Year Finished in PX Sherry Casks

Bushmills released the second series belonging to their “Rare Casks”: it is a 29-Year-Old Single Malt finished in Pedro Ximenez Sherry casks.

Bushmills’ 29-Year Single Malt is made from a mashbill of exclusively Irish malted barley. In 1992 the whiskey was distilled and then it spent twelve years maturing in hand-selected ex-bourbon barrels before heading to first-fill Pedro Ximenez sherry casks in 2004 for an additional 17 years. The final product was bottled at the beginning of 2022. The ABV is 53% (106 proof). Only 500 bottles were made.

The distillery stated that this expression is one of the fines ever released by Bushmills. Master Blender Alex Thomas called “one of the finest whiskeys ever sealed under the Bushmills name.”

This special single malt is limited to 500 bottles. SRP is $750.
