Like every year, Diageo plans to market some bottles from its own distilleries. The Special Releases have become a staple for the beverage giant, even if substantial changes are expected, compared to the usual, for 2019.
The bottles will be eight, there will be no grain whisky or blend and the only concession to a closed distillery is Pittyvaich. No trace of Brora and Port Ellen, as happened in 2018, as Diageo intends to release something special for the reopening of the two cult distilleries, in 2020 and 2021. Details on gradation, number of bottles and price are missing and will be revealed later. The Special Releases will be available presumably after September 2019. Below is a list:
