TASTING NOTES - BENROMACH VINTAGE 2011 TRIPLE DISTILLED

Nose

Extremely high and light, very ethereal. After some time a minor note of pineapple comes out, on top of other tropical hints, not too ripe. Dry malty biscuits with a slight precious wood component. It is at points quite fascinating as some classy dry flowery hints.

Palate

Body is slim and pure, as in many triple distilled product, yet here even more. A minor menthol note introduces to a dry profile with some spices, sweet and salty. This is a little more mono-dimensional compared to the nose. Green banana? Maybe a touch of light smoke can also be perceived.

Finish

Medium-short, quite pleasant, again with a minor touch of smoke on top of a light, elegant but no very intense flowery sensation with some dryness.

Benromach Vintage 2011 Triple Distilled is an interesting triple distilled product. The nose is probably the best aspect as, though not immediately available, several notes can be identified for a rather complex fruition. The palate is on the opposite slightly more limited. Alcohol is nicely integrated.
