TASTING NOTES - KAIYO MIZUNARA OAK THE PEATED

Nose

An interesting sweet burst of smoke is filling the nose, backed up by toffee and sweet lemon cake. A waxy sensation is then paired with candle wick.

Palate

Sweet and spicy, citrus and fruity at moments, with the smoke still present yet not overwhelming. Interesting, also thanks to the creamy and waxy component. At times a more herbal, bitter note becomes more evident. Gentle but of good complexity.

Finish

Medium-long, with the interesting mineral, sapid part which is following the candle wick sensation on the nose.

Kaiyo Mizunara Oak The Peated is an interesting lightly peated spirit, where the smoke is enveloping with grace sweet toffee, herbs and a creamier citrus component. Not truly complex or extremely deep, yet pleasant and never boring. The spicy kick is giving an extra level of dynamism.
