Batch 9 of the successful The GlenAllachie 10 yo cask strength series has just been announced. This bottling was also created by master distiller Billy Walker, a true enthusiast of the skillful use of wood for the finish.
This version, in particular, results from a blend of distillates aged in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso Sherry casks, together with Rioja barriques and American virgin oak barrels, medium charred/toasted. The result is a mahogany-colored product that stands proudly alongside its predecessors. “Every batch we create of our 10-year Cask Strength -explains Billy Walker- represents the direction in which we are pushing The GlenAllachie. This ninth edition is no different, as it contains all the richness and complexity of our distillate after the refined finishing.”
The GlenAllachie 10-Year-Old Cask Strength Batch 9 is bottled at cask strength (58.1% ABV) without cold filtration or color correction. It is already being distributed internationally and will have a suggested retail price (in England) of £66.95.
