Woodford Reserve Winter 2021 Master’s Collection Five-Malt Stouted Mash

Woodford Reserve has announced the Winter 2021 Master’s Collection release called the Five-Malt Stouted Mash. For this limited-edition release, Master Distiller Chris Morris, and Assistant Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall, drew on their own history and inspiration. They decided to incorporate the use of “Distiller’ Beer” for the achieved taste for this release. If you are not sure what distiller’s beer means, it is a fermented grain mash. The distillation process converts the “distillers beer” into a spirit that will become a “Whiskey” once it is barreled. This release not only gives you something special, but it also gives you some distilling knowledge.

The 2021 release is made with 5 malted grains to give the bourbon an almost dark beer undertone to the whiskey. Five-Malt Stouted Mash is the 17th release for the brands Master’s Collection series. This is a limited-edition bottling, and is bottled at 90.4 proof (45.2% ABV). The Five-Malt Stouted Mash has an MSRP of $129.99, for the 750-ml size bottle. Bottles should be available in early December 2021 in select US and global markets.
