The whiskies in the AWARDS 2022 have been selected throughout the past 12 months. Only those who recorded the highest scores in blind tastings and reviews were reselected and tried again in a new blind tasting. Among these whiskies tested in 2022, the aim was to give more space to the latest releases, taking into consideration, however, also the new editions of products in the brands' core ranges. The ranking was created by testing available products, even if some bottlings are limited productions, as it often happens in the whiskey world.
Once revealed, by clicking on the whiskies depicted in the images below, it is possible to access the description of the products and the relative tasting notes.
Among the whiskies tested in blind tastings and reviews throughout the year, those scoring the best get reselected. These products were then tried once again in a new blind tasting, which means not knowing what they are during the tasting. The only indication on the sample concerns the ABV content: a red mark states that the product has an ABV higher than 50% (100° proof). The test results are then compared, and the TOP 10 is made.
